Dr. Octavio Oliva

Dr. Octavio Oliva was born in Matanzas, Cuba, in 1987. At the age of 7, his family immigrated to Madrid, Spain, where he attended Colegio Calasancio for elementary and secondary education before moving to Miami, Florida, at age 16, where he completed high school. Dr. Oliva graduated from Florida International University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He then spent 2 years conducting research at the Division of Pulmonary Medicine at the University of Alabama, Birmingham. It was during this time that he discovered his passion for attention to detail and creating with his hands. Dentistry allows him to pursue both passions. He attended dental school at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, graduating in 2017. Dr. Oliva continued his education at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, Texas, where he completed his residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry. He is very passionate about dental health and its contribution to his patients’ overall well-being.
